Description
This cast iron horse-drawn delivery wagon features branding for the Brooke Bond Tea and Coffee company. The piece consists of a green-painted wagon body mounted on a yellow-painted chassis with four black spoked wheels. The sides of the wagon are decorated with embossed lettering painted in yellow that reads Brooke Bond Tea and Coffee. A seated driver figure finished in green is positioned on the front bench holding black string reins connected to a pair of brown-painted horses. The horses are attached to the yellow hitch by gold-tone chain traces. The construction utilizes flat-head screws on the side of the horse and wagon body, consistent with mid-to-late 20th-century reproductions modeled after antique cast iron toys.
