Description

FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY: This late 19th-century American Victorian center table is designed in the Rococo Revival style. It features a large oval white marble top with grey veining and a beveled edge. The top rests on a conforming wooden apron with tiered molding. The supporting base consists of a central pedestal and four out-swept, scrolled legs. The legs are ornamented with carved recessed panels and scrollwork. A turned pendant finial is located at the center where the legs intersect. The table is equipped with four metal casters. The wood appears to be walnut or mahogany with a dark finish. The design is characteristic of parlor tables produced circa 1850-1880, similar to those attributed to American makers like Thomas Brooks or Bowditch and Co. No maker’s marks or labels were identified during inspection.
