Description
This stoneware pitcher serves as an antique advertising item for the Louisville Cider and Vinegar Works of Louisville, Kentucky. The vessel is constructed with a cylindrical body that tapers slightly toward the base, a small pinched spout, and an applied D-shaped handle. It is finished with a light cream-colored glaze that exhibits a fine network of crazing across the entire surface. The front of the pitcher features a three-line black transfer-printed inscription: COMPLIMENTS OF Louisville Cider and Vinegar Works LOUISVILLE, KY. The unglazed base shows a coarse stoneware clay body. – 5"x6"x6.5"
