Description
This collection of fireplace accessories consists of a pair of cast iron andirons, an iron log grate, and a wire mesh spark screen. The andirons are designed in a revival style, featuring double-ring or figure-eight finials on tapered necks. The bases are scrolled with arched feet and feature a central decorative foliate boss. The horizontal bars, or dogs, are of a short-form design. The separate fireplace grate is constructed of heavy iron bars with curved uprights and square-sectioned front stops. The spark screen is a rectangular wire mesh guard within a metal frame, fitted with two wire-loop handles at the top. No manufacturer marks were identified on any of the pieces.
