Description

This lot consists of an assortment of vintage souvenir dolls, character dolls, and antique porcelain doll components. The collection features various materials including bisque porcelain, hard plastic, composition, cloth, and vinyl. The souvenir dolls represent diverse regional costumes, including three figures in Native American-inspired leatherette and beaded attire, two Inuit-style dolls in faux-fur trimmed parkas, a British Yeoman of the Guard in a detailed red and gold uniform with a staff, and a Spanish-style doll wearing a floral tiered skirt and black lace mantilla. Character and fashion dolls include a bride in a multi-layered lace gown, a saloon girl doll in a red and white ruffled dress with black lace trim and fishnet stockings, and a cowboy doll with a cloth body and face. Also included is a small cloth rag doll with a straw hat and several smaller plastic figures resembling mid-century storybook dolls. Two vintage bisque shoulder-head busts are present. One features molded and painted black hair in a 19th-century China head style, while the other features molded blonde hair. Both heads have painted facial features and sew-holes at the base of the shoulder plates for attachment to bodies. A small molded resin or plaster cherub figurine completes the group. The majority of the dolls feature fixed painted eyes, though the hard plastic examples may contain sleep eye mechanisms. No definitive manufacturer marks are visible in the provided images, although the cowboy doll retains a partial yellow paper tag.
