Description
An assortment of eleven vintage and antique kitchenware and serving pieces featuring various metals and handle materials. The collection includes a three-piece serving set consisting of a small three-tine fork, a butter knife with a curved blade, and a spade-shaped scoop. Each piece is fitted with a carved mother-of-pearl handle and decorative silver-tone metal ferrules. The knife blade and scoop head feature engraved scrollwork, and indistinct marks are present on the knife blade. Also included is a large ladle with a deep metal bowl, possibly tinned copper or pewter, attached to a turned, dark-stained wooden handle with a metal hanging ring. The pewter items in the lot comprise a large spoon with a fiddle-pattern handle, a small monogrammed hand scoop with script characters HCS, a plain circular plate, and an oval bowl with three raised parallel ridges in the center. The set further contains a small oval hammered metal dish with a beaded rim and a repousse tree-and-well design. Utility and decorative items include a cast metal knife rest in the shape of a dachshund or hound and a metal food mold depicting a cow or pig mounted to a rectangular backplate.
