Description
This lot features two antique glass kerosene table lamps. The first lamp is constructed of clear pressed glass and consists of an octagonal paneled font, a fluted pedestal stem, and a circular base. It is fitted with a brass burner with a thumbwheel embossed with P. & A., for the Plume and Atwood Manufacturing Company, and a clear glass chimney with a scalloped pie-crust rim. The second lamp is made of frosted pressed glass featuring a beaded pattern with vertical rows of raised bosses on the font, stem, and base. This lamp is equipped with a metal burner showing significant surface tarnish and a clear glass chimney with a smooth flared rim. Both lamps retain their original flat cotton wicks. Both items are manufactured using pressed glass techniques and do not show pontil marks.
