Description
A collection of works by Maurice Hewlett, uniformly bound in half-leather with marbled paper boards. The titles include The Spanish Jade, Brazenhead the Great, The Song of Renny, Little Novels of Italy, two volumes of The Queen’s Quair or the Six Years’ Tragedy, Open Country, and The Stooping Lady. The bindings feature brown leather spines with four raised bands, gilt-stamped titles and author name, and repeating floral motifs in the spine compartments. The boards are covered in a marbled paper pattern consisting of green, blue, and black tones. These octavo volumes have toned text block edges. No publisher or publication dates are visible from the exterior.
