Description
FOR PICK UP OR SHIPPING ONLY: This late 19th to early 20th-century American country-style side chair is constructed from various hardwoods, including ash, maple, or hickory for the turned elements and a solid plank for the seat. The chair features a spindle-back configuration consisting of four central tapered spindles and two outer stiles topped by a flat, slightly curved crest rail. The stiles are accented with turned ring decorative details. The seat is formed from a solid contoured plank. The undercarriage consists of four turned, splayed legs connected by an H-stretcher. The front stretcher features a central decorative swelling. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the surfaces.
