Description
This is a wrought iron floor lamp designed in a hand-forged blacksmith style with a black finish, in the style of Irvin’s Tinware. The piece features a three-legged tripod base with flattened feet and a central vertical shaft that terminates in a pointed spear-shaped flame tip finial. The lighting element is held by a decorative horizontal arm composed of scrolled ironwork. It is fitted with a tapered empire-style fabric shade featuring a blue and white toile de Jouy pattern depicting various pastoral scenes. The electrical system includes a modern black plastic-covered cord run externally along the frame, a standard two-prong plug, and a socket with a black turn-knob switch. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the base, shaft, or decorative scrollwork.
