Description
This collection consists of four salt and pepper shakers in weighted sterling silver, comprising two distinct pairs in neoclassical urn forms. One pair features a rounded, bulbous body with gadrooned borders on both the shoulder and the spreading circular foot. The removable pierced lids are topped with a small, rounded finial. The base of this pair is stamped STERLING, WEIGHTED, and includes the Colony Creation maker mark with a hand logo. The second pair features a taller, more flared body, also decorated with gadrooned borders at the shoulder and foot. The removable lids on this pair have a more tapered finial. The base is stamped Empire in stylized script, followed by STERLING, WEIGHTED, and the number 323. These items are constructed with a thin shell of .925 sterling silver over a non-precious weighting material.
