The piece features a heavy, rounded rim and two applied lug handles. Centered below the rim is a stamped capacity mark of a stylized, scrolling number 3. This specific decorative numbering and glaze profile are strongly associated with the production of the Fort Dodge Stoneware Company of Fort Dodge, Iowa, during the late 19th century.
