This hand-colored fashion engraving is titled GODEYS AMERICANIZED PARIS FASHIONS 1848. The print depicts two women in mid-19th-century attire within an interior setting. One woman wears a dark green tiered dress and a white bonnet while holding a red cloak with white fur trim. The second woman is shown in a pale yellow off-the-shoulder gown accented with floral decorations and holding a folded hand fan. To the right, a floral arrangement sits atop a mantelpiece.
