Description
This 19th-century Victorian wall mirror features an oval frame constructed of wood with a dark reddish-brown finish, consistent with mahogany. The frame is designed with a deep-molded profile showing concentric tiers. It is topped with an ornate, pierced, and scrolled pediment crest. The reverse side shows an aged cardboard or heavy paper backing that is secured to the frame, and the joinery where the crest meets the oval body is visible. A hanging wire is attached to the back. There are no visible maker marks, labels, or stamps on the frame or backing.
