Description
This is a bulbous stoneware pitcher featuring a rich, dark brown glaze. The vessel has a rounded, bulbous body that tapers to a short neck before flaring into a wide rim with a pinched pouring spout. It features a large, applied loop handle. The exterior is finished in a thick, high-gloss dark brown glaze, characteristic of manganese or Albany-style slip glazes. The surface displays an orange peel texture and minor glaze pinholes and bubbles produced during the firing process. No maker marks, capacity stamps, or inscriptions are visible on the body or handle. The form and glaze are consistent with 19th to early 20th-century American utilitarian stoneware traditions.
