Miniature Stoneware Whiskey Jug in Dark Brown Albany Slip Glaze
Description
A miniature stoneware whiskey jug featuring a rounded, bulbous body, a short cylindrical neck, and a small loop handle. The vessel is finished with a dark brown, highly reflective slip glaze of the Albany type. The neck is sealed with a natural cork stopper. The unglazed base bears an impressed circular mark featuring a central numeral 1. While there are additional incised characters following the curve of the base, they are worn and not legible as a specific name or location.Height: 4 1/2 inches (to the top of the cork)Diameter: 4 1/4 inches at the widest point.
