Vintage H. Boker and Co. German Straight Razor with Molded Celluloid Scales and Case
Description
A German straight razor featuring a carbon steel blade and decorative molded scales. The front of the tang is stamped with a tree logo followed by H BOKER & CO. The reverse side of the tang is stamped GERMANY. The blade face features an etching in gothic-style script reading The Celebrated followed by the words HOLLOW GROUND RAZOR in block letters. The razor is mounted in cream-colored celluloid scales designed to resemble carved ivory. These scales are decorated with a relief pattern consisting of geometric diamonds, floral fleur-de-lis motifs, and textured scrollwork accented by small molded circular details. The razor is accompanied by a two-piece sliding leatherette storage case. The exterior of the case is embossed with a logo and text; while the primary branding is heavily worn and illegible, the bottom of the embossed design clearly reads REGISTERED.Case length: 6.75 inches.
