Vintage Gone With The Wind Style Electric Parlor Lamp with Embossed Lion Heads and Floral Accents
Description
A mid-20th-century electrified parlor lamp in the Gone with the Wind style. The lamp features a two-part globose body constructed from molded white milk glass. Both the upper shade and the lower base globe are decorated with high-relief embossed lion face masks framed by scrollwork. The glass is further ornamented with hand-painted pink rose clusters and cold-painted gold leaf foliage. The lamp is fitted with a clear glass chimney and stands on a circular chrome-finished metal base. It is equipped with a three-way internal switch designed to operate the top light, the bottom light, or both simultaneously. The electrical cord is finished in a cream-colored plastic coating with a standard two-prong North American plug. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior glass or metal fittings.Diameter: 7 inches across the widest point of the base globe.Height: 21 inches to the top of the clear glass chimney.
