Lot 216:
Description
A vintage cantilever tackle box constructed of molded off-white plastic with a dark green handle and front latch. The interior features three tiered cantilever trays in a harvest orange plastic, designed with various rectangular compartments. The front of the box features a rectangular adhesive label with a series of vertical blocks in a yellow-to-orange gradient followed by the name REBEL printed in black block letters. The dark green front latch is embossed with the name REBEL. The dark green top handle appears to have the same name molded into the plastic, though it is partially obscured by surface dust. The box contains an assortment of fishing gear including several red and white plastic bobbers, a yellow and red bobber, a Mepps AGLIA spinner lure in its original retail blister pack, a small plastic bag labeled Water Gremlin Split Shot, various loose plastic worms, lead weights, a pair of red-handled pliers in original retail packaging, and a coil of blue nylon rope. The graphic design of the exterior decal and the specific orange hue of the interior trays are characteristic of outdoor equipment from the 1970s and early 1980s.
