Lot 190:
A Lot of 10 Winchester and Remington 12 Gauge and 20 Gauge Shotgun Shells
Description
This lot comprises ten vintage shotgun shells accompanied by two period-correct boxes. The first group consists of five 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells including three rifled slugs with red plastic hulls and two Winchester Western shells with brass headstamps. These are housed in a Winchester Western Super X white box marked X12RS15, indicating a 1 ounce rifled slug load with a 4 1/2 dram equivalent. The second group consists of five 20 gauge shells, including three Remington shells with brass headstamps and two yellow plastic shells with crimped tops. These correspond to the Remington Express Buckshot green box, which specifies a 2 3/4 inch length, #3 buckshot load containing 20 pellets. The Winchester box measures approximately 4 inches in width. Prominent box markings include Remington Express Buckshot, Remington Made in U.S.A., Winchester Western Super X, and Rifled Slugs. Note – As these are individual ammunition components and not a modern cartridge firearm, a federal 4473 background check is not required, though local jurisdictional shipping restrictions may apply.
