Description
This lot features a collection of three antique and vintage objects. The first is a large metal storage tin for Dr. Johnson’s Educator Crackers, featuring a hinged lid and lithographed advertising graphics. The design includes Victorian-style typography, scrollwork, and illustrations of wheat stalks. Text on the reverse side lists product varieties such as Fruit, Oat, Meal, Barley, and Maize Nut Biscuits, and includes the printed signature of Dr. W. L. Johnson. The second item is a small cylindrical metal canister for Calumet Baking Powder, originally produced in Chicago, Illinois. The exterior shows a shield logo with a Native American profile.
